✨ Our Story
The Atelier was born in 2000, sparked by a teacher’s irresistible need to create. Driven by color and expression, she began painting on anything she could find — terracotta, wood, fabric. Her first pieces, hand-painted planters and wooden chests, were soon displayed in local exhibitions. But on January 12, 2010, the devastating earthquake changed everything. The workshop collapsed. With no space left to store large items, we had to reinvent ourselves. That’s when the first hand-painted bags, table runners, and later decorative pillow covers came to life — more compact creations, yet full of soul. In 2022, a long-time dream finally came true: the launch of our jewelry line. Delicate, handmade, and full of character, each piece captures the spirit and style of Atelier Michaelle in miniature.
